ACI Project Italy

Anagrafe Comunale degli Immobili (Municipal Building Offical Catalog Database)

ACI is a project for the definition of a standard database for cadastral and building technical data management. The data model stores informations about building and single apartments; for each apartment stores: technical information, energy certificate, structural information, permits, fiscal informations, usage information (how many people are leaving in the flat, or which company work in the building), etc. The data model is used by almost all municipalities in Regione Emilia Romagna (also by Pilot commune di Reggio Emilia) and by many municipalities in Italy.

BRISEIDE

BRIdging SErvices, Information and Data for Europe

“BRIdging SErvices, Information and Data for Europe” is an ICT-PSP PilotB project ended in 2012. BRISEIDE has developed an open source framework for spatio-temporal analysis. In BRISEIDE spatio-temporal processing services are exposed via the web and are made available through compatible applications through interoperable standard WPS (Web Processing Service). In the project, SINERGIS SRL has extended Open Source software (GeoServer) to ensure support for time, as dimension, through standard protocols from OGC including WMS, WCS and WFS. The toolkit includes also services to geodatabases, enriched, when needed, with information, extracted from heterogeneous, distributed user operational databases. BRISEIDE has been extensively tested by tens of users during the testing phase of the project and the technology is currently in use in the context of different custom project.

DMVS Czech Republic

Digital Map of Public Administration

The main aim of the eGovernment programme in the Czech Republic is to enhance the efficiency of public administration. The Digital Map of Public Administration (DMVS) is composed of digital orthophotographs of the Czech Republic, digital and digitised cadastral maps, digital purpose cadastral map ((KM) and a technical map of municipality, if available. The DMVS project is a part of computerisation of public administration in the Czech Republic. The project enhances the productivity of government administration and also simplifies the processes between citizens and public administration. The DMVS project, that should be compliant with the INSPIRE (Infrastructure for Spatial Information in the European Community) initiative, generates definite demand for geodata on the level of detail of land data model.

eENVplus

eEnvironmental services for advanced applications within INSPIRE

eENVplus (ICT-PSP project n. 325232) project integrate a large amount of environmental data provided by the national/regional environmental agencies and other public and private environmental stakeholders involved. This is achieved through the harmonisation and integration, within an operational framework, of existing services. The core component of eENVplus infrastructure is the open and scalable eENVplus server constituted by several blocks implementing the services needed for the addressed pilots. The eENVplus infrastructure is the result of the set of nodes publishing harmonized and interoperable services.

GeoInfoStrategy Czech Republic

The goal of the project was definition of a comprehensive strategy for spatial data in public administration. Wide scale of existing geo-information data was identified. It was suggested how to make them available, in a user-friendly form, using modern information and communication technologies.

GeoSaS

Tracasa has developed the solution GeoSaS conceived to solve problems in integral water cycle management, this solution is already working and has been tested in real client behaviour, but lack of the incorporation of real time data through sensors and Scada (supervisory control and data acquisition) that is working in the client part.

GetLOD Italy

GetLOD in an Open Source solution to automatically generate LOD, by wrapping existing Geographical Network Services (WFS and CSW) provided by the Emilia-Romagna regional SDI. Addresses, buildings, geographical names and administrative boundaries were the reference geodata chosen by Regione Emilia- Romagna. The Agenzia per l‘Italia Digitale (former DigitPA) participated as advisory member to address and check compliance with the new national guidelines on semantic interoperability.

GEOBID Poland

Węzeł Katastralny “Cadastral Node (District)” within the framework of the GEOPORTAL. GOV.PL project

GEOBID as a result of the won nationwide competition for „ Developing conception and technical solutions (developing systems with implementation) in a scope of a development of the National Infrastructure of Spatial Information‖ developed and implemented conception of “Cadastral Node (District)” – a system of management of spatial databases being within competence of geodetic service at a district level, assuming use of functioning systems of the data management. Implementation of the project took place in five districts. The project was co-financed from EU means.

GEOPORTAL2 Poland

Using the experience gained in the above Project GEOBID conducted its own project GEOPORTAL2.PL enlarging significantly a scope of the district node of the National Infrastructure of Spatial Information, including the data regarding the network of utilities and the data needed to manage a local government unit. The project assumes to make information available both in protective and public mode. The implementation of this project took place in 32 country districts and 6 cities with district rights, including Ruda Śląska.

Humboldt

Humboldt (FP6 GMES project n. SIP-CT-2006-030962 – participated by GISIG) has supported Spatial Data Infrastructure (SDI) enablement by providing the functionalities for covering the data harmonisation process as a whole, through development of a state of the art set of open source software tools and services to allow documenting, publishing and harmonizing of geospatial data. HUMBOLDT has demonstrated the feasibility of an Infrastructure for Spatial Information in Europe, as planned by the INSPIRE initiative, meeting the goals of Global Monitoring for Environment and Security (GMES).

Mobile Geodata Collector Czech Republic

Mobile Geodata Collector is software tool cooperating with GPS receiver in order to collect data directly in terrain, including real-time correction and GNSS data post-processing. It is designed to work also in areas without mobile data networks. Collected data are stored in mobile device and synchronized with server when internet connection is available. Two-way synchronization is provided: collected data are sent to server while opposite direction enables central configuration of mobile devices.

NATURE-SDIplus

Best Practice Network for SDI in Nature Conservation

NATURE-SDIplus (eContentplus project No. 317007 – coordinated by GISIG) has investigated existing Best Practices and it has improved the harmonization, accessibility and use of datasets from Member States for the implementation of INSPIRE Directive with specific reference data themes related to nature conservation. A further final outcome of the project has been the delivery of the NATURE-SDIplus Geoportal and the training framework.

PCCS Spain

PCCS is a web based solution developed in proprietary and closed web platform to manage underground infrastructure maintenance activities. This experience, that benefits the citizens, the public administration and the utility companies at regional level, was initiated by the government of Navarre and the municipality of Pamplona and get now involved several organizations in public-private partnership. The idea has demonstrated a clear added value for all stakeholders, and now will serve as the basis for migrate to open source and upgrade to an open solution to wider participants and users.

Smart island

3D Smart Webservices for Mediterranean Islands

Smart Islands is an ICT-PSP project aiming at integrating multiple 3D web services for tourism, transportation, environment, health, civil protection and other sectors in Tablets/iPad mobile devices. The ultimate objective is to support the sustainable development of communities like the small Mediterranean islands. A first app for the pilot Greek island of Hydra has been successfully deployed and made available on both the apple store and the android market. Other apps are being finalized for other pilot islands of Greece, Italy, Spain, Cyprus and Malta.

Founded by the ICT PSP – Smart urban digital services for energy efficiency (call 6), Smart UrbaN ServIces for Higher eNergy Efficiency – aims to deliver an extensible open toolkit featuring three smart services for:

  1. energy assessment of buildings at urban scale for the creation of ecomaps and their energy pre-certification;
  2. optimisation of energy consumption of heating/cooling systems based on localised weather forecasts and energy modelling of buildings;
  3. optimisation of power consumption through remote control of public illumination levels.

The toolkit will be delivered as interoperable open middleware ensuring, in an interoperable manner: access to geospatial features, access to Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) functions and definition of alerts.

The various Training Frameworks developed in the context of many of the previous projects, are all based on a Training Infrastructure established by GISIG in the context of the Leonardo da Vinci project VESTA-GIS and they are closely linked within a common vision towards a “Training Framework for European GI related policies”.
